On April 11th, 2020, Charamarvels marked a significant milestone with its involvement in the treatment and discharge of the first pediatric case at Yanam Government Hospital in India. This case was notably managed before the official guidelines were established by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
The young patient, a child from a nearby village, was admitted with a severe and complex medical condition that required immediate and specialized care. Despite the lack of established protocols at the time, the dedicated team at Yanam Government Hospital, supported by Charamarvels’ philanthropic wing, mobilized quickly to provide the necessary medical intervention.
Utilizing their resources and expertise, the Charamarvels Foundation facilitated access to essential medications, advanced diagnostic tools, and specialized medical staff. This collaborative effort ensured that the child received the best possible care, tailored to the emerging understanding of pediatric needs and medical standards.
Through rigorous monitoring and innovative treatment approaches, the patient’s health showed remarkable improvement. On discharge, the child was in stable condition, marking a triumph not only for the medical team but also for Charamarvels’ commitment to healthcare support.

CHARA Group was founded by Mr. Narayana Murthy Busi. Initially, the company was led by Miss Narayana Murthy Busi, who served as the chairman. The group began as a small-scale project, utilizing retirement funds to start the cultivation of bananas, paddy, and coconut on a combined 3 hectares of owned and leased land. This agricultural venture continued until 2019.
In 2009, CHARA Group expanded its operations by delving into aquaculture, setting up a 2-hectare shrimp pond and a 1-hectare fish pond. The business continued to flourish under the leadership of Miss Narayana Murthy Busi until 2021, when Mrs. Padmavathi took over as chairman. Under her guidance, the company not only maintained its existing agricultural and aquacultural activities but also ventured into organic vegetable farming on 2 hectares of land.

At just 18 weeks gestation, Niraja, a baby boy, was born weighing a mere 460 grams, a product of an abortion attempt. Against all odds, he was brought into the world on May 25, 2011, in the nurturing confines of Women’s Hospital Ambajipeta.

In addition to these agricultural ventures, the group marked 2023 with the commencement of new business avenues, including travel services, earth-moving operations, and interior design projects. The story of the CHARA Group is also intertwined with personal milestones. One such significant event is the birth of Niraja on May 25, 2011, at Women's Hospital in Ambajipeta. Born prematurely at a gestational age of 18 weeks, Niraja weighed just 460 grams at birth.

In 2024, the Chara Group is venturing into the health sector with the establishment of Chara Marvels Private Limited. The Group has appointed Dr. Ramesh Busi as a key director to lead this initiative, leveraging his extensive experience and expertise in the medical field.
Dr. Ramesh Busi brings over 25 years of distinguished experience as a neonatologist and pediatrician. He has made significant contributions to neonatal care, having treated over 100,000 neonates during the pre-surfactant era with a remarkably low morbidity and mortality rate of less than 0.01%. His notable achievements include the successful management of preterm and very low birth weight (VLBW) infants, some weighing as little as 450 grams and as young as 18 weeks gestation.
Dr. Busi is also recognized for his academic contributions, with extensive teaching experience across medical colleges, government sectors, and corporate healthcare settings. His institutional affiliations include prominent organizations like Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore, where he has been involved in both clinical and missionary work.
In addition to his pediatric and neonatal expertise, Dr. Busi is also a practicing physician in adult medicine and is currently pursuing a super-specialty in cardiology. His diverse medical background and commitment to both pediatric and adult patient care make him a valuable asset to Chara Marvels Private Limited, as it aims to establish a strong presence in the health sector.
